Tungsten carbide is an excellent material to manufacture gauge blocks from. Tungsten carbide gauge blocks are extremely accurate, stable and have excellent wringing characteristics. Each gauge block is manufactured from carefully selected materials having a hardness of approximately 1500 Hv, they set standards of surface finish that are beyond materials such as steel.
